A second place of residence means two fridges and two pantries.

It makes for a delicious lunch, supper or late night snack!

It is especially delicious when made with homegrown tomatoes and basil.

When given the choice between renting out a party facility (pool, gymnastics, or activity centre), my kids prefer to celebrate their birthday parties at the campsite – hands down each time!

Fire-Licked Meatball Onion Bombs


These Fire-Licked Meatball Onion Bombs are absolutely delectable. There will literally be an explosion in your mouth…..bang!…..sweet….bang!….savoury…..bang!…..yummy goodness….bang!

We made them over an open fire, but you could easily make them on the BBQ. The recipe could not be any easier:

  • 1 lb. of lean ground beef
  • 1 pkg. of onion soup mix
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bottle of Diana Sauce Original Flavour

Five Things Everyone Should Have In Their Camping Kitchen

I’m not sure if I’m the only person who feels like a good portion of my time at the campsite consists of cooking. Sometimes I feel like once I have finished cooking and cleaning up after a meal, that it is almost time to start thinking about prepping for the next meal. But that’s ok – because we are camping! We are supposed to relax, let life slow down and smell the steak sizzling on the open fire roses.
