It has been a very long winter for us this year and spring cannot come soon enough. We are anxiously awaiting the beginning of the camping season, but our plans are being foiled by the endless amounts of snow and reoccurring cold snaps. We are starting to wonder if we will be able to pull our trailer out of storage in April.
But today was different. Today Mother Nature blessed us with a beautiful day. So, we were very thankful and took advantage of a warm and sunny day.
We decided to go snow-shoeing and to take a look at our campsite. We wanted to see where we would be spending our time during the warmer months.
We reserved our seasonal site in the middle of winter, so we weren’t exactly sure what our site would look like. We had camped in the general area last summer, but could not remember what our exact site looked like. We were pleasantly surprised.
According to the campground’s website our site length measures 65 feet and the site width measures 50 feet. When we arrived there we were impressed with the actual dimensions and believe that it is possibly even bigger than the dimensions listed on the website.
We also have three beautiful trees that are reasonably spaced and placed within the site. We will have great shade during those hot summer days. Also, one tree has the perfect branch to hang a tree swing or tire from.
Finally, the girls decided to make themselves at home and made a cute little snowman.
After a great day at the campsite we surprised the girls and took them tobogganing.
They should sleep well tonight!
